Sharing advice from women in STEM to inspire the next generation.
Elevate Her STEM is a GLOCAL project focused on collecting and sharing stories, advice, and experiences from women in STEM. Our goal is to make mentorship feel more accessible, organized, and easy to explore for students.
Why this project matters
Many students are interested in STEM, but they do not always have direct access to mentors or honest advice from women already working in those fields. This project helps make those stories easier to find and learn from.
- Learn about different STEM careers and education pathways
- Read advice from women with different backgrounds and experiences
- Explore interview responses by field of study and career area
- Help students feel more connected to real opportunities in STEM
What you can do here
This website is designed to be simple and useful. Students can explore featured stories, search for specific people, and browse professionals by their career or field of study.
“One story can change how a student sees their own future.”
Project messageAbout the Project
This website was created as part of a GLOCAL-supported project. We are interviewing women across different STEM fields and building a space where students can learn from their journeys, challenges, achievements, and advice.
What we collect
We gather interviews, reflections, personal advice, and insights from women working in STEM-related fields.
Who this helps
This project is designed for students and youth who want more guidance, representation, and real stories from people in STEM.
Why it matters
Representation can help students feel seen, more confident, and more open to opportunities they may not have considered before.
Our Mission
We want to create a clean and accessible platform where advice from women in STEM is easy to read, relatable, and meaningful for younger students. Instead of making mentorship feel distant, we want to make it feel real and reachable.
Accessibility
Students should be able to quickly find stories and advice.
Connection
We hope this platform helps youth feel more connected to professionals and future possibilities.
Encouragement
Sometimes one honest story or one piece of advice can make a student feel less alone in their path.
Interview Spotlights
These are sample cards for now. Later, you can replace them with real interview responses from the people your team contacts.
“You do not need to have everything figured out right away. Curiosity and consistency matter more than having the perfect plan.”

Sample interview highlight“Representation matters because students should be able to see that there is space for them in these fields too.”
