Sharing anonymous advice from women in STEM to inspire the next generation.
Elevate Her STEM is a GLOCAL project focused on collecting and sharing stories, advice, and experiences from women in STEM. All public profiles are anonymous and titled by job or role instead of personal names.
Why this project matters
Many students are interested in STEM, but they do not always have direct access to mentors or honest advice from women already working in those fields. This project helps make those stories easier to find and learn from.
- Learn about different STEM careers and education pathways
- Read advice from women with different backgrounds and experiences
- Explore interview responses by field of study and career area
- Protect contributors by removing names, emails, schools, companies, and personal identifiers
What you can do here
This website is designed to be simple and useful. Students can explore featured stories, search anonymous profiles, and browse by career area or field of study.
“One story can change how a student sees their own future.”
Project messageAbout the Project
This website was created as part of a GLOCAL-supported project. We are interviewing women across different STEM fields and building a space where students can learn from their journeys, challenges, achievements, and advice.
What we collect
We gather interviews, reflections, personal advice, and insights from women working in STEM-related fields.
Who this helps
This project is designed for students and youth who want more guidance, representation, and real stories from people in STEM.
How privacy is protected
Each public profile removes personal names, emails, company names, school names, and links. The role or job becomes the profile title.
Our Mission
We want to create a clean and accessible platform where advice from women in STEM is easy to read, relatable, and meaningful for younger students. Instead of making mentorship feel distant, we want to make it feel real and reachable.
Accessibility
Students should be able to quickly find stories and advice without needing to reach out to professionals directly first.
Connection
We hope this platform helps youth feel more connected to professionals and future possibilities.
Encouragement
Sometimes one honest story or one piece of advice can make a student feel less alone in their path.
