About This Project
Building a bridge between accomplished women in STEM and the next generation of leaders through accessible mentorship and real stories.
Our Mission
This project collects, organizes, and shares advice from accomplished women leaders across various STEM fields to provide accessible mentorship and guidance for youth who are navigating education, career pathways, and leadership opportunities.
With many students lacking experience in STEM, especially women, this project aims to build their confidence and increase awareness of opportunities by providing direct access to the insights and experiences of women who have built successful careers in these fields.
Project Goals
Collect Insights from Women Leaders
Gather advice, experiences, and career guidance from women who have achieved leadership positions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Create an Accessible Platform
Build a publicly accessible website and searchable database to organize and share interview responses, categorized by field, organization, and area of expertise.
Promote Representation
Increase visibility of women in STEM by showcasing diverse role models and making their stories available to students everywhere, regardless of location or resources.
Methods & Approach
This project uses virtual communication and digital tools to gather and distribute information efficiently. Interviews are conducted through written responses, phone calls, or video platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. A structured set of interview questions ensures consistency across all responses.
The collected information is organized into a searchable directory and presented on this website. Participants are categorized by their field, organization, and area of expertise to make the platform easier to navigate. This approach ensures both accessibility and long-term usability.
The strategy focuses on maximizing reach and impact while minimizing cost by relying on virtual collaboration and freely available tools.
